Crafted in France from fine Porcelaine de Limoges, this plate is a 'Premiere Edition' (First Edition) and features the hallmark of Henri D'Arceau L. & Fils. The backstamp confirms it was 'Fait à la main' (made by hand) and includes a descriptive historical narrative in French regarding the clandestine meeting between Lafayette and Silas Deane. This specific piece is hand-numbered 911 on the back, bearing the Bradex-style identification 16-D.15-7.7 (as indicated by the 16 & Fils 77 mark).
